| Function | Allows a member to inquire on a specified check number to hear the status of the check provided. |
IVR Input
1. Product-Based Menu Account context is already established.
Example: Press 4 for Check Services → Press 1 for Check Inquiry → Enter check number.
2. Function-Based Menu Caller must select account first, then enter the check number.
Example: Press 1 for Checking → Press 4 for Check Services → Press 1 for Check Inquiry → Enter check number.
3. Check Number Entry Caller is prompted to enter the check number for inquiry.
4. Post-Information Navigation After status information is played, the system returns the caller to the previous menu or ends the call depending on IVR design.
IVR Output
One transaction is presented at a time:
- Check not cleared (if applicable)
- Check cleared date (if applicable)
- Check stopped date (if applicable)
- Check returned date (if applicable)
- Return draft fee (if configured)

Error Handling
- Invalid Input
- System prompts user to re-enter selection.
- After configured attempts, caller is transferred using Transfer to Agent (Feature 0008) or session ends using Returns to Previous Menu (Feature 0009).
- Authentication Failure
- Member notified of failed authentication.
- Retry or route to support based on configuration.
- System Unavailable/Timeout
- Caller informed service unavailable.
- Option to call back later or transfer.
