Feature Name ATM Card Activation
Function Allows the activation of any ATM card that is eligible to be activated on the member’s account.

IVR Input

1. Product-Based Menu: Caller selects Card Services → ATM Card Activation.

Example: Press 5 for Card Services → Press 4 for ATM Card Activation.

2. Function-Based Menu: Caller navigates through Account Services → Card Management → Activate ATM Card.

Example: Press 3 for Account Services → Press 5 for Card Management → Press 4 for ATM Card Activation.

3. Optional Input: Caller may enter the ATM card number or select the card from an account list, depending on configuration.

IVR Output

System confirms successful activation and provides relevant playback:

  • “Your ATM card ending in **** has been successfully activated.”
  • “Your ATM card is now active and ready for use.”
  • Optional: “You will now be transferred to a representative to complete the activation process.”
  • Optional playback of masked card number for verification.

Error Handling

  1. Invalid Input: After 3 invalid attempts, IVR replays the prompt or routes the caller to Transfer to Agent (Feature 0008).
  2. Card Already Active or Invalid: “The card number entered is not eligible for activation.” Returns to Previous Menu (Feature 0009).
  3. System Timeout: If no input is received, IVR repeats the prompt once; after 2 timeouts, returns to Main Menu (Feature 0029).
  4. System Failure: “We’re unable to complete your ATM card activation at this time.” Caller is routed to an agent or disconnected gracefully.
