| Function | Allows the activation of any debit card that is eligible to be activated on the member’s account. |
IVR Input
1. Product-Based Menu: Caller selects Card Services → Debit Card Activation.
Example: Press 5 for Card Services → Press 3 for Debit Card Activation.
2. Function-Based Menu: Caller navigates through Account Services → Card Management → Activate Debit Card.
Example: Press 3 for Account Services → Press 5 for Card Management → Press 3 for Debit Card Activation.
3. Optional Input: Caller may enter the debit card number or select from a list of active/ pending debit cards.
IVR Output
System confirms successful activation:
- “Your debit card ending in **** has been successfully activated.”
- “Your debit card is now active and ready for use.”
- Optional: “Please stay on the line to be connected to a representative for verification.”
- Optional playback of masked card number for confirmation.

Error Handling
- Invalid Input: After 3 invalid attempts, IVR replays the prompt or routes to Transfer to Agent (Feature 0008).
- Card Already Active or Invalid: “The card entered is already active or cannot be processed for activation.” Returns to Previous Menu (Feature 0009).
- System Timeout: If no input is received, IVR repeats the prompt once; after 2 timeouts, returns to Main Menu (Feature 0029).
- System Failure: “We’re unable to process your debit card activation at this time.” Routes to agent or disconnects gracefully.
