Password Expiration
If a user's password is about to expire, a password expiration message displays after signing in. The message begins to display seven days before it expires, giving the user enough notice to change their password. If the user is unable to change the password within the seven-day period, their account becomes locked. A supervisor, manager, or administrator must assign the user a temporary password.
NOTE:
To change the password expiration time frame, contact the account manager or submit the request through a support ticket. The password expiration can be set to any number of days between three and thirty.
Signing in with a Temporary Password
The user must obtain the temporary password from their supervisor, manager, or administrator. Once acquired, sign in by doing the following:
- Enter the assigned username into the Username field.
- Enter the temporary password into the Password field.
- Select the Remember Me check box to have the web browser remember the username. At next sign-in, the username displays in the Username field.
- Click the Sign In button to sign in with the credentials entered.
