Exploring the Interaction Manager Designer Interface

Interaction Manager Designer has a variety of buttons and icons. This section explains their purpose and how to use them.

Applications and Queues Panel

Add Application: Create a new contact flow application.

Show/Hide Applications and Queues Panel: Show or hide the contents of the Applications and Queues panel.

Application Filter: Allows the user to filter the list of applications by App Name or the Locked by me status. Select the App Name filter when searching for a specific application.

Applications and Queues Search: Find a specific application by entering text into the Search field. The application list immediately shows results while entering text.

Properties Panel

Show/Hide Properties Panel: Show or hide the contents of the Properties panel.

Properties Panel Icons:

  1. Version Control – Allows for loading a previous version of the contact flow application.
  2. Save Flow – Saves the contact flow application.
  3. Validate Application – Checks the contact flow application for invalid nodes.
  4. Deploy Test – Deploys the contact flow application to the testing environment.
  5. Deploy Production – Deploys the contact flow application to the production environment.
  6. Lock/Release App – Locks the application to prevent other users from modifying. Releases the application to allow other users to modify.
  7. Audit History – Allows the user to see the history of changes made to the contact flow application.
  8. Delete App – Deletes the selected contact flow application. (Application must be locked by the current signed-in user.)

Expand/Contract Panels View: Increase or decrease the size of the Applications and Queues and Properties panels. While expanded, the canvas is hidden.

Canvas

Canvas Buttons: Controls for creating contact flows within the canvas area.

  1. Select Mode – Selects and moves nodes.
  2. Zoom to Fit – Zooms out to display all nodes on the canvas.
  3. Zoom In – Zoom in on the canvas.
  4. Zoom Out – Zoom out on the canvas.
  5. Auto Arrange Horizontally – Cleans up the contact flow diagram by automatically arranging nodes horizontally.
  6. Auto Arrange Vertically – Cleans up the contact flow diagram by automatically arranging nodes vertically.
  7. Save Flow – Saves the contact flow application.

Expand/Contract Canvas View: Increase or decrease the size of the canvas to have a larger viewable area. While expanded, the Applications and Queues and Properties panels are hidden.
