514 - Keystone - Invalid Attempts Before Disabling Logins
Category Core Specific
Description Indicates the number of times a caller can enter a valid Login ID with other invalid authentication information before the system locks or disables the login. Keystone, out of the box, only has the capability of locking members out when PIN authentication is used. This parameter extends that capability.
Purpose This parameter is used for two purposes:
- To lock out a login record when authentication information other than PIN is used.
- To manually set the Lock flag in conjunction with Site Parameter 513 if the credit union prefers to use the lock flag rather than Keystone’s automatic locking.
Valid Values
- 0 = Do not lock or disable logins
- 1–999 = Number of invalid authentication attempts allowed before login is disabled
Default Value 0
Notes/Dependencies
- Used together with Site Parameter 513 – Keystone: Set Lock Flag to Disable Logins.
- Applies only when Keystone is the core system.
