General Settings
Purpose
General Settings define the overall Teller experience for callers.
This section controls how a call starts, how callers authenticate, which menus they hear first, and how callers navigate menus using standard menu navigation or Expert Mode.
Use these settings to establish the default call flow from the moment a caller connects until they reach the main banking menu.
Configurations Supported
- Set the name and label of the Teller Profile
- Play greeting and informational messages before and after authentication
- Choose the authentication method used for callers

Select the pre-authentication menu (may be skipped automatically when only Automated Account Information is configured) and the main menu after authentication
- Enable navigation guidance prompts (landmark prompts)
- Link the profile that controls transfers, payments, and withdrawals
- Control whether menu numbering starts at 0 or 1
- Temporarily take the Teller out of service for maintenance

Field Reference
Type: Text/String
Purpose: Defines the display name for the Teller Profile configuration.
Behavior: This label is used to identify the profile within administration and configuration views.
Caller Impact: No direct caller impact.
Default Value: Default Profile
Type: Toggle/Boolean
Purpose: Controls whether a greeting message is played when a caller first connects to Teller.
Behavior: When enabled, Teller plays the configured greeting message at call start. When disabled, Teller proceeds directly to the next configured step in the call flow.
Caller Impact: Caller hears an initial greeting before any menus or prompts.
Default Value: Enabled
Type: Dropdown/ Profile Reference
Purpose: Selects which authentication profile Teller uses to verify callers.
Behavior: The selected profile determines which authentication factors and validation steps are applied during caller login.
Caller Impact: Determines what credentials or verification steps the caller must complete before accessing account features.
Options Available: Any authentication profiles configured with type = Teller Authentication Profile appear in this list.
Authentication profiles must be created by an administrator before they can be selected here.
Default Value: None
Type: Toggle/Boolean
Purpose: Controls whether a message plays before authentication begins.
Behavior: When enabled, Teller plays the configured message before prompting for authentication. When disabled, authentication prompts begin immediately.
Caller Impact: Caller hears an informational or instructional message before authentication.
Default Value: Disabled
Type: Dropdown/Menu Code
Description: Contains the menu code for the first menu executed within the Teller. This menu is the pre-authentication menu.
Purpose: Specifies the menu executed before authentication.
Behavior: Defines which pre-authentication menu runs after call answer. This menu may be skipped automatically when only Automated Account Information is configured.
Caller Impact: Caller may hear general information options before authentication.
Default Value: MAIN - Main (Pre-Authentication Menu)
Type: Toggle/Boolean
Purpose: Controls whether a message plays after successful authentication.
Behavior: When enabled, Teller plays the configured post-authentication message before the main menu.
Caller Impact: Caller hears a confirmation or informational message after authentication.
Default Value: Disabled
Type: Dropdown/Menu Code
Purpose: Defines the main menu presented after authentication.
Behavior: This menu becomes the primary caller navigation starting point after authentication completes.
Caller Impact: Determines which options the caller hears first after authentication.
Default Value: AINF - Automated Account Information Menu
Type: Toggle/Boolean
Purpose: Enables navigation guidance prompts.
Behavior: When enabled, Teller includes landmark prompts that help callers understand menu position and navigation choices.
Caller Impact: After a caller selects a menu option, Teller announces the name of the selected feature or menu before continuing.
Default Value: Disabled
Type: Dropdown/Profile Reference
Purpose: Selects the configuration profile that governs transaction features.
Behavior: Controls rules and behavior for transfers, payments, withdrawals, loan advances, and related transaction features.
Caller Impact: Affects which transaction options are available and how they behave.

Type: Dropdown/Profile Reference
Purpose: Specifies which authentication profile is used when a caller switches to a different member during an active Teller session.
Behavior: If set to Original Authentication Profile, Teller reuses the initial authentication rules. Otherwise, the selected profile is applied for the member switch.
Caller Impact: Determines verification steps required when changing members mid-session.
Default Value: Original Authentication Profile
Type: Toggle/Boolean
Purpose: Controls starting number for dynamic menu key assignments.
Behavior: When enabled, menu numbering begins at 0. When disabled, numbering begins at 1.
Caller Impact: Changes which digit corresponds to the first menu option.
Default Value: Disabled
Type: Toggle/Boolean
Purpose: Temporarily disables caller access to Teller.
Behavior: When enabled, Teller plays the system unavailable message and then disconnects the caller. No menus or features are accessible.
Caller Impact: Callers hear an unavailable message and the call is ended.
Default Value: Disabled
Type: Toggle/Boolean
Purpose: Controls numbering used in Expert Mode help prompts when Expert Mode navigation is used.
Behavior: When enabled, help prompts reference service codes starting at 0 instead of 1.
Caller Impact: Changes numbering guidance heard in Expert Mode help prompts.
