Add or Update License Notes

Each license includes a note function that you can use to record information about the license. For example, you can record the name or username of the person who created the license, information about items that have been updated, or other information that is associated either with the customer or with the license.

To add or update license notes in the Licenses page, perform the following steps:

  1. In the Main Menu on the left side of the page, click on the Licenses menu option. The Licenses page opens and displays a list of all existing licenses. See the following screen capture.

  2. In the Licenses page, locate the row on which the license is located. See the following screen capture.

    Click on the Edit Notes icon. The Edit License pop-up window is displayed.

  3. In the Edit License pop-up window, you can update existing notes, remove unneeded notes, or enter additional notes.

  4. When finished updating the notes that are associated with the license, click on the Save button to save the updated notes. The updated notes are saved and the Edit License pop-up window closes. The Last Updated column is updated to display the ID of the person who updated the information in the Notes column and the Last Updated Date column is updated to display the date on which the update occurred.

    A pop-up window is displayed in the upper right corner of the Licenses page to confirm that the license information has been saved successfully (see the following screen capture).

    The confirmation pop-up window closes automatically after a few seconds.
