Delete a Site
If a site needs to be deleted for any reason (for example, the site is moving to a new location or is dividing into several smaller sites), you can easily delete the site. Remember that when you delete a site, you are not deleting the users who are assigned to that site.
To delete an existing site, you must be viewing the Locations page. If you are not viewing the Locations page, Working with Locations for information about displaying the Locations page.
To delete an existing site, you will be working in the Sites pane (see the following screen capture).
To delete an existing site, perform the following steps:
In the Locations page, locate and click on the Delete Site icon ( ) on the right side of the row that displays the site. See the following screen capture.
The Delete Site confirmation pop-up window opens.
Before deleting the site, you have the opportunity to move all users currently assigned to the site into a different site using the Transfer Users to drop-down list. By default, if you do nothing, the users will be transferred into the site that is in the top of the list. To transfer the users to a different site, click anywhere in the Transfer Users to box to open the menu and click on the site to which you want to transfer the users.
After selecting a site to which to transfer the users, click on the Delete button to delete the site. The site is deleted immediately and the name of the site is removed from the Sites pane. A confirmation message is displayed in the upper right corner of the page. See the following screen capture.
Note: If, before clicking on the Delete button, you change your mind, you can click on the Cancel button to close the Delete Site confirmation pop-up window without deleting the site.
